WPP: strategic investment in Mic.

(CercleFinance.com) - WPP has made a strategic investment of 6.
5 million dollars in Mic, a US-based digital news company and creator of branded content which targets millennials.

Mic's advertisers and branded-content clients include Google's parent company Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, Marriott International, Netflix, Chanel and Microsoft.

Mic's platforms, such as The Movement (social justice) or Slay (feminism) employ journalists who report on news and cultural events through text and video formats, while also creating branded content for advertisers.

Based in New York, Mic has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Stockholm and Kiev. It employs 165 people and was incorporated in 2011.
