Eni: EU approves acquisition of Neptune Energy Group
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control of part of the UK-based Neptune Energy Group Limited by Italy's Eni.
The transaction mainly concerns the exploration, production and wholesale supply of oil, refined petroleum products and natural gas.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the limited combined market position of the companies resulting from the proposed transaction.
