Eni: approves offhsore development project in Indonesia
(CercleFinance.com) - Italy's Eni has approved the investment plan for a development project in Indonesia following the authorisation received by local regulators.
The Merakes offshore project consists in the drilling and construction of subsea wells with a dedicated transportation system in water depth of 1500 metres. The gas production will be shipped to the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan.
Separately, Eni has signed an agreement to sell Qatar Petroleum a 35% stake in a block offshore Mexico, broadening a worldwide strategic cooperation between both groups.
