Eni: sells 10% stake in offshore Egypt field
(CercleFinance.com) - Italian oil and gas group Eni has signed an agreement to sell a 10% stake in a concession located offshore Egypt for 934 million dollars, Eni said on Monday.
Eni has sold the stake in the Shorouk concession, where there is the Zohr super-giant gas field, to Abu Dhabi's Mubadala.
Eni currently holds a 60% stake in the project, while Rosneft holds 30% and BP 10%.
Today in Abu Dhabi, Eni also signed two agreements for the acquisition of a 5% stake in an offshore oil field and a 10% stake in two oil, condensate and gas offshore fields for a total of about 875 million dollars, in a move designed to gain access to one of the countries with the largest hydrocarbons reserves in the world.
