Enel: sells $271m of renewable assets in the US

(CercleFinance.com) - Enel has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Enel Green Power North America ("EGPNA"), has signed an agreement with ORMAT Technologies ("ORMAT") for the sale of a portfolio of renewable assets in the US for a total of $271m.

The portfolio includes about 150 MW of operational geothermal and solar installations.

The transaction is in line with Enel's strategic priorities, i.e. taking advantage of asset rotation to boost RoCE in support of future development plans while achieving a gradual simplification of its structure.

The transaction is expected to reduce Enel's consolidated net debt by about E255m, while reducing its reported EBITDA by about E35m, with no impact on its ordinary financial results.

Assets concern Enel's entire geothermal portfolio in the US, as well as several small solar power plants.
