Enel: sells 50% of EGPA to INPEX

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Enel, acting through its wholly-owned subsidiary Enel Green Power (EGP), completed the sale of 50% of the two entities holding all its renewable activities in Australia, i.
e. Enel Green Power Australia and Enel Green Power Australia Trust (together "Enel Green Power Australia" or "EGPA"), both wholly owned by EGP, to INPEX Corporation (INPEX).

INPEX paid a total consideration of approximately E142m.

The overall transaction boosted Enel Group's EBITDA by around E95m. It also has an expected positive effect on Enel's consolidated net debt of around E142m, which does not include around E203m euros of net debt deconsolidated in 2022.

The agreement is in line with Enel's current strategic plan, which entails partnerships in certain activities and geographical areas to enhance value creation.
