Generali: operating profit up 6.9%
(CercleFinance.com) - This Friday the Italian insurer Generali announced operating profit that is up 6.
9% at 5.2 billion euros, thanks to contributions from each business sector.
Adjusted net income also rose by almost as much (+6.6%) to 2.4 billion euros. The group will therefore pay a dividend of 96 cents per share, against 90 cents a year earlier, up 6.7%.
"Thanks to the results published in 2019 and by taking advantage of the initiatives undertaken, the Group confirms the objectives of the 'Generali 2021' strategic plan, with growth in earnings per share of between 6% and 8%, an average RoE of more than 11.5% and a dividend payout ratio of between 55% and 65%," the group said regarding its expectations.
