Ryanair: annual results better than expected

(CercleFinance.com) - The Irish low cost airline's annual revenues increased by over 190% to 4.
80 billion euros (year ended 31 March 2022).

Traffic recovered strongly from 27.5 million to 97.1 million passengers.

Operating costs increased by 113% to 5.27 billion euros (including a 237% jump in fuel costs to 1.83 billion euros).

However, the company made an annual loss of 355 million euros, wish a lost less than the loss of 1,015 million euros last year. Oddo points out that annual results to end-March 2022 are better than expected (Oddo BHF: -E379m, Consensus -E370m)

Ryanair expects to increase traffic in FY2023 to 165m (from 97m in FY2022 and 149m before Covid).

The share is flying high on this news this morning - up about 3.5% an hour into trading.
