Accenture: tightens up forecasts after strong quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture reported higher quarterly results on Thursday, with the technology outsourcing and consulting company forecasting a strong fiscal year 2020.
Net income for the first quarter ended 30 November was 1.38 billion dollars, a 6% increase from 1.29 billion dollars for the first quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter were 11.36 billion dollars, up 7%, the group said. They were up 9% in local currency.
In a statement, Julie Sweet, Accenture's CEO, pointed out " strong" financial results and the company's continued momentum, adding that the IT giant further increased its market share.
For fiscal 2020, the company now expects revenue to increase by 6% to 8% in local currency, compared with 5% to 8% previously.
The company now expects diluted EPS of between 7.66 dollars and 7.84 dollars, compared with 7.62 dollars to 7.84 dollars previously.
