Accenture: in prime position for USDA deal
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture has emerged as a frontrunner to provide the US Department of Agriculture with shared services solutions, the IT firm said on Wednesday.
The USDA has awarded its Accenture Federal Services unit a prime position in the process, making AFS one of nine firms eligible to compete for work under the five-year deal, which is worth an estimated 500 million dollars in all.
The program aims to help the USDA's chief financial officer's teams in payroll, human resources and financial management shared-services.
