Vodafone: seals joint 5G partnership with TIM in Italy
(CercleFinance.com) - Phone operators Vodafone Italia and TIM signed on Friday a memorandum of understanding that will enable them to jointly roll-out a 5G infrastructure.
The so-called "active sharing project" would support a faster deployment of 5G over a wider area, and at a lower cost, the companies said in a statement.
Vodafone and TIM also intend to consider active network sharing for their existing 4G networks, which may also generate further efficiencies.
