TechnipFMC: wins FLNG contract in Mozambique.
(CercleFinance.com) - TechnipFMC has won a major contract in Mozambique from Coral FLNG, a joint venture between the 'majors' Eni, CNOOC and Galp Energia.

In detail, the contract was won by the TJS consortium, which links the leading Franco-American oil services group to JGC Corporation and Samsung Heavy Industries.
In this context, TechnipFMC and its partners will be responsible for the engineering, construction and commissioning of FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas, i.e. a floating unit for the extraction and treatment of natural gas) called Coral South FLNG, which is intended for the project of the same name. This will involve operating an offshore gas field that is 2,000 metres deep, which has an estimated output of 3.4 million tonnes p.a.
