Rolls-Royce: wins military contracts worth $1.8bn

(CercleFinance.com) - The US Department of Defense has awarded two contracts, worth over $1.
8bn over the next five years, to Rolls-Royce for engine maintenance for US Navy and Marine Corps aircraft.

The first contract includes depot-level intermediate maintenance and logistics support for more than 200 Rolls-Royce F405 engines powering the US Navy's T-45 trainer aircraft.

The other contract includes depot-level engine repair services for Rolls-Royce turboprop engines powering airlift aircraft used by the US Marine Corps and the government of Kuwait.

All branches of the US armed forces use aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce engines. The company employs 5,000 people across the US and has invested over 1 billion dollars in new manufacturing, assembly and test facilities in America since 2015, providing advanced state-of-the-art capabilities.
