Reckitt Benckiser: raises 2018 growth target, shares up

(CercleFinance.com) - British consumer goods maker Reckitt Benckiser said its second-quarter was a "quarter of progress" in terms of delivering growth and integrating Mead Johnson Nutrition.

The maker of Nurofen painkillers and Finish dishwasher products said on Friday that second-quarter net revenue was 3 billion pounds, an increase of 5% on a pro-forma basis and 4% on a like-for-like basis.

Growth was backed by approximately +2% in the quarter as the group moved past the prior-year impact of the cyber-attack, it said.

Even so, RB raised its 2018 target to +14-15% total net revenue growth at constant rates (previously +13-14%), implying like-for-like revenue growth at the upper end of +2-3%.

Also, the company announced an interim dividend of 70.5 pence per share, an increase of 6%.

The shares were up more than 7% in London after all these announcements.
