BT: launches new 'global fabric' international network
(CercleFinance.com) - BT today announced the launch of a brand new international network that will enable business customers to connect the multiple clouds that companies use for their applications and data with users, such as customers and employees, and enable them to take advantage of the new wave of digital automation and AI.
Called "Global Fabric", this network represents a technological generational shift, based on a technical and business model of Network as a Service (NaaS), BT says.
Like the cloud itself, it is designed to be flexible, scalable and resilient, both in terms of connectivity quality and pay-per-use convenience. By combining the power of cloud and networks, customers can optimise application performance, user experience and costs, the British telecom operator says.
