AstraZeneca: sells rights to antipsychotic to China's Luye
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca has entered into an agreement with China's Luye Pharma for the sale of the rights to schizophrenia drug Seroquel in the UK, China and other international markets.
The deal also includes Brazil, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, Argentina, Malaysia and South Africa, the British drugmaker said.
AstraZeneca said the transaction is part of its strategy to focus on other areas such as oncology, cardiovascular, renal, metabolism and respiratory diseases.
