AstraZeneca: broad approval in the US for ovarian cancer.
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca and its US partner Merck said on Friday that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted approval for Lynparza tablets in the treatment of ovarian cancer.
Lynparza exploits tumour DNA damage response (DDR) pathway deficiencies to preferentially kill cancer cells.
The drug has now been approved by regulatory authorities in the EU and the US for the treatment of women with BRCAm ovarian cancer.
