GSK: FDA approves new indication for ovarian cancer drug
(CercleFinance.com) - GlaxoSmithKline said on Thursday that US health regulators have approved the use of its Zejula cancer drug for an additional indication.
The company has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for late-line treatment for women with recurrent ovarian cancer, it said.
The drug is currently approved for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer, who are fully or partially responsive to chemotherapy.
