BP: creates fund to reduce GHG emissions
(CercleFinance.com) - BP has announced the creation of a 100 million dollar fund to finance projects to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in its upstream (exploration and production) oil and gas activities.
The British energy group says that in April 2018, it set a target of reducing its GHG emissions by 3.5 million tonnes over the period 2016-2025. At the end of 2018, it managed to reduce the emissions from its businesses by 2.5 million tonnes since 2016.
