HSBC: may sell French retail banking business
(CercleFinance.com) - There are currently rumours in the press - in particular, according to the Wall Street Journal, HSBC would be looking to sell its retail banking business in France, which is making losses.
The Sino-British bank would thus reduce its exposure to the Europe. If it does, this would be the first major strategic decision taken by the group's new boss, Noel Quinn.
