Diageo: sells Picon brand to Campari group
(CercleFinance.com) - Diageo has announced the sale of Picon, a French brand of flavoured liqueurs, to the Campari group for 119 million euros.
This deal is part of its active portfolio management, including a disciplined approach to resource and capital allocation to ensure that returns are maximized over time, it said.
Diageo says that the transaction will generate a one-off disposal gain of 64 million pounds, although this will have no material impact on EPS.
