FDJ: in exclusive talks to acquire ZEturf
(CercleFinance.com) - La Française des Jeux today announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with a view to acquiring the ZEturf group.
FDJ says that this planned acquisition is part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the French market for online games open to competition - particularly in activities in which it is not currently present, such as horse betting and poker.
The ZEturf group is present in online horse betting as well as in online sports betting under the ZEbet brand.
In 2021, ZEturf recorded bets of almost 800 million euros, including over 100 million euros in B2B. Online horse betting accounts for more than 50% of the Group's B2C bets, which makes it the 2nd largest operator in this segment in France, with a market share of around 20%. ZEturf is also present on the Dutch, Belgian and Spanish markets.
