Valeo: unveils delivery droid at CES 2020 in Las Vegas
(CercleFinance.com) - Valeo has announced that at the global tech event CES 2020, held in Las Vegas, it has presented a prototype electric and autonomous delivery droid, called Valeo eDeliver4U, which it has developed in partnership with Meituan Dianping, China's leading e-commerce platform for services.
This droid, which is capable of delivering up to 17 meals per trip, can move at around 12 km/h, autonomously in an urban environment that is both dense and complex, without generating any polluting emissions. The prototype has a range of around 100 km.
"The droid's autonomy and electric power are delivered by Valeo technologies that are already series produced and aligned with automotive industry standards, thereby guaranteeing a high-level of safety," Valeo said.
