Valeo: France's leading patent filer in 2018
(CercleFinance.com) - Valeo says that in 2018, for the third year in a row, it has taken first place in France's INPI rankings, with 1,355 patents published in France, compared to 1,110 in 2017, "consolidating its position as the most innovative company in France".
The automotive supplier also boasts the position of the leading French patent filer with the European Patent Office, with 784 patents last year, which places it 18th worldwide.
The group states that its research and development efforts amounted to 2,073 million euros in 2018, or nearly 13% of its original equipment sales. It has 59 centers worldwide and some 20,000 engineers.
