Sartorius Stedim: appoints new CEO
(CercleFinance.com) - Sartorius Stedim Biotech (SSB) announces that René Fáber, Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer by its Board of Directors, effective from 28 March.
He will succeed Joachim Kreuzburg, who has been the company's CEO and Board Chairman since June 2007 and who will remain SSB's Board Chairman and CEO of its majority shareholder, the German Sartorius Group.
Appointed as member of the board of directors in March 2019, René Fáber has been SSB's deputy CEO since February 2022. In January 2019, he became a member of Sartorius' Executive Board and took over the reins of its bioprocess solutions division.
In addition, SSB shareholders at the Combined Annual General Meeting approved all resolutions by a large majority, including the proposal to pay a dividend of E1.44 per share for 2022.
