Voltalia: solar power plant to be commissioned in Albania
(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia announces that its 140-megawatt solar power plant in Karavasta (Albania) has been completed and is ready for operation.
This solar power plant is both the largest in Albania, but also the largest in the Western Balkans. It is expected to produce its first megawatt-hours in the coming weeks.
The plant will be able to supply electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of 220,000 inhabitants, double the energy needs of Albanian cities such as Vlora and Kamza.
