Voltalia: sells solar power plant in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia has announced the sale of a 420-megawatt solar power plant that it developed in the Arinos complex in southeastern Brazil.
The buyer, Newave Energia, will call on Voltalia for the construction and maintenance of the electrical infrastructure.
Newave Energia's future photovoltaic power plants will produce the equivalent of the consumption of 1.3 million of the country's inhabitants, and avoid the emission of around 350 kt of CO2 per year, the French renewable energies group said.
Arinos has a total potential capacity of over 1.8 gigawatts, entirely developed by Voltalia (including this divested project). The entire site will benefit from economies of scale thanks to its size, with the Newave Energia project playing an important role therein.
