Worldline: finalises acquisition of First Data Baltics.
(CercleFinance.com) - Worldline has announced finalising the agreement signed with First Data Corporation, announced on 25 July, for the acquisition of 100% of the capital of its subsidiaries in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia (First Data Baltics) for approximately 73 million euros.
The payments and transaction services group said that the transaction has been financed by its existing cash and that First Data Baltics (FDB) will be consolidated within the financial services division from 1 October.
With sales of 23 million euros in 2016 and presenting a significantly higher OMDA margin than Worldline, FDB employs about 200 people and is the Baltic leader in the processing of financial transactions.
