Fnac Darty: SFAM acquires stake of over 11%

(CercleFinance.com) - The French group SFAM has acquired a stake of more than 11% in the Fnac Darty Group for 335 million euros.

It will therefore become the group's second largest shareholder.

SFAM intends to continue developing its commercial partnership, particularly in the distribution of premium services. The group could reinforce its stake in Fnac Darty depending on market opportunities, although it does not intend to take control of the group.

SFAM is a leading European player in the distribution of affinity insurance products, specialising in the fast-growing market for nomadic products. The group designs, markets and manages a range of premium insurance solutions for mobile phones and multimedia products with extended warranties.
