Getlink: LeShuttle traffic up 4% in September
(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink announces that its LeShuttle shuttle service carried 211,819 passenger cars in September 2023, up 4% y-o-y, in particular benefiting from travel for the Rugby World Cup.
However, LeShuttle Freight carried just 95,651 trucks through the Channel Tunnel, down 15% y-o-y, again suffering from economic conditions in the UK.
Since 1 January, almost 1.8 million passenger cars and over 908,000 trucks have crossed the Channel on Eurotunnel's shuttle services, up 8% and down 18% respectively relative to 9m 2022.
