Novacyt: posts loss for H1
(CercleFinance.com) - Novacyt has reported a post-tax loss of 12.
7 million pounds for H1 2021, against a profit of 35.1 million pounds a year ago, along with adjusted EBITDA of 23.2 million pounds before extraordinary items, compared with 43.1 million pounds in H1 2020.
The diagnostic test provider's revenues reached 54 million pounds, down almost 15%. Excluding DHSC, however, revenues increased by 20%, supported by growth in the UK private sector testing market.
Management said that it has launched 18 new Covid-19 products since the start of 2021 and believe that the company will continue to play a major role in Covid-19 testing through to 2022, thereby reiterating its targets for 2021.
The market is not really listening though, with the share down over 3% in early trading on Monday.
