4-fold increase in Q1 2022 net income from recurring operations to 376 million euros, with a 72.9% increase in EBITDA to 619 million euros, representing a sharp rise in its EBITDA margin to 21.4%.
The chemical group's sales reached 2.9 billion euros, up 30% LFL, with volumes down slightly, although a continued improvement in the group's product mix and an adjustment in sales prices.
Judging that market conditions remain positive, Arkema is now expects EBITDA for its specialty materials and for the group in 2022 at a constant consolidation scope, to be slightly higher than the already record level of 2021.
