Arkema: to acquire Lambson
(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has announced its plans to acquire Lambson, a company specialising in photoinitiators for curing, a technology that meets demands of cutting-edge markets such as electronics, 3D printing, digital ink, composites and high-performance coatings.
Lambson develops and markets a wide range of photoinitiators for curing, a market that has an estimated growth of around 5% per year. Historically based in the UK, it reports sales of around 45 million euros.
This acquisition will further strengthen the share of specialties in Arkema's portfolio. The deal is expected to be closed in the fourth quarter of 2019, subject to approval from the competition authorities of the countries concerned.
