EDF: Treasury shares reallocated
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF announced on Monday that its CEO had decided, as part of its share buyback programme, to reallocate 3,697,507 shares held in treasury as part of a capital reduction with the cancellation of said shares.
Precisely, 3,646,913 EDF shares initially allocated to the liquidity contract, as well as 50,594 shares allocated to an offering reserved for employees in 2007 which is no longer required.
As of 23 December, the electricity operator held a total of 4,894,027 of its own shares, of which 1,196,520 are held as part of the liquidity contract (i.e. 0.0386% of the share capital) and 3,697,507 to be bought back and cancelled as part of the capital reduction.
