EDF: nearly 94% of 2019 dividend to be paid in shares
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF announces that its option for the payment of the 2019 interim dividend in new shares has met shareholders' interest: 93.
88% of the rights have been exercised in its favour at the end of the option period of 28 November to 11 December inclusive.
The operation results in the creation of 5,651,460 new shares (representing approximately 1.73% of EDF's capital after the capital increase), whose delivery and admission to trading on the Euronext Paris market will occur from 17 December.
The cash dividend to be paid to shareholders who have not opted for the payment of the 2019 interim dividend payment in shares amounts to approximately 27.252 million euros, which will also be paid from 17 December.
