EDF: contract for Paris 2024 Olympic Village
(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage Immobilier announces that, in partnership with Nexity, CDC Habitat, EDF and Groupe Groupama, it has won sector E of the athletes' village of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, located in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis).
Sector E covers approximately 53,000 m2 of floor space for 525 housing units, an office block, a nursery and business and commercial premises which should accommodate slightly over 2,500 athletes and para-athletes in the summer of 2024.
A smart energy pilot scheme will be used to reduce the energy consumption of buildings. Solar energy will be produced from building roof tops, combined with zinc-air battery storage in technological facilities developed by EDF, which will, in part, supply the accommodation.
