EDF: inaugurates solar photovoltaic power plant
(CercleFinance.com) - The EDF Group today announces the inauguration of the Aramon photovoltaic power station in the Gard, as well as Cleantech Booster, an accelerator for innovative companies.
Both facilities are found on the site of a former thermal power station.
Beginning in 2016, the Aramon photovoltaic power plant project has been developed by EDF Renewables. With an installed capacity of 5 MWp, the plant has over 14,000 two-sided photovoltaic modules, capable of absorbing solar radiation on both sides of the panels, thus improving electricity production. It produces electricity for almost 3,500 people each year, EDF said.
