EDF: two new contracts in China
(CercleFinance.com) - At lunchtime on Tuesday, EDF reported that it has signed two contracts in the field of energy services in China, alongside Emmanuel Macron's official visit to the country.
Signed with the town of Sanya (700,000 inhabitants), the first contract concerns the design, construction and operation for 30 years of a network of chilled water (for air conditioning) and hot water for sanitary use.
The network will supply a tourist area that is currently being developed, consisting of about twenty hotels, shopping centres and a hospital, representing floor space of some 3.4 million square metres.
Thanks to high-performance equipment which integrates solar energy and has an intelligent driving system, the network will reduce CO2 emissions by 20% compared to the use of individual systems, representing up to 70,000 tonnes less CO2 per year.
