Eutelsat: supports humanitarian services
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat has signed contribution agreements with the United Nations World Food Program (PAM).
These actions increase the support for humanitarian emergency relief services.
The Crisis Connectivity Charter signed by Eutelsat, Arabsat, Global Eagle, Hispasat, Inmarsat, Intelsat, SES, Thuraya and Yahsat will significantly expand humanitarian access to satellite communications.
Through these agreements, the signatories of the Charter are committed to providing humanitarian relief services with satellite equipment and in-orbit resources to respond to emergencies, the group said.
