Alstom: first dynamic tests of Riyad metro
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom today announces that a few weeks ago it begun the first tests of the metro of Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), on a test track.
The Riyadh metro project, owned by Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), has six lines that total 176 km in length, with 85 stations.
The current test campaign includes a demonstration of the performance of the railway system, power supply and signaling systems, using the trains that have already been delivered.
These first tests mark an important milestone for Alstom and the project, and we are proud to carry out the tests in Riyadh and be able to deliver a state-of-the-art metro to our client ADA, as well as the residents and visitors of Riyadh, said Didier Pfleger, Senior Vice President of Alstom for the Middle East and Africa.
