Engie: 200 MW windfarm project in India
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has announced signing a contract for a 200 MW wind power project in the State of Tamil Nadu in India.
Engie won its first wind power project in India (State of Gujarat) at the start of 2018, which has a capacity of 30 MW. These successes in India enable the group to exceed the threshold of 1 GW capacity in terms of renewable electricity generation, which is either already installed or being built.
The 200 MW wind power project was won by the Group at a price of 2.51 NR/kWh (39 dollars/MWh), as part of a call to tender for a total of 2,000 MW, organised by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). A contract has been signed to provide electricity for 25 years.
