Engie: Fitch grants group 'A' credit rating.
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has announced that Fitch has granted it an "A" credit rating, with a stable outlook, and a short-term credit rating.
Its subsidiaries Engie Alliance, Engie International Invest and Electrabel have also obtained the "A" rating.
Engie thus has the best credit rating amongst its peers in the utilities sector.
For Fitch these ratings reward Engie's size and diversification, the increasing share of EBITDA related to regulated and contracted businesses that have helped to reduce the group's exposure to commodity prices, its ambitious development in integrated solutions for its clients and its conservative financial policy, the group said.
