Orange: job cuts at orange business?

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange is set to implement a collective redundancy plan for around 700 jobs in the Orange Business division, according to the newspapers Le Monde and Les Echos.

The plan is expected to be presented to union representatives.

The activities that are integrated into Orange Business SA (cloud, data management) and Orange Cyberdefense (cybersecurity), are not affected by these job cuts, Le Monde says.

If this plan does not receive the approval from the unions, the group would prefer a voluntary redundancy plan, they say.

Meanwhile, Invest Secuties says that, faced with an erosion of its results on its historical B2B telecom business, the Business division needs to reinvent itself by reducing its costs and streamline its offer (50% of the products in the catalogue are due to disappear by the end of 2023).
