Orange: acquires TKR in Romania
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange Romania has announced signing an agreement to acquire a 54% majority stake in Telekom Romania Communications (TKR), with a view to making Orange the reference convergent operator for subscribers in Romania.
It will pay 268 million dollars, net of debt and cash and subject to customary adjustments upon completion of the transaction. It represents a total enterprise value of 497 million euros for 100% of TKR and its convergent subscriber base.
The deal's completion, which is subject to customary conditions precedent (including approval by the European Commission and the relevant authorities), is expected to take place in the second half of 2021.
