Renault: heavy net loss in 2020
(CercleFinance.com) - Renault has published a net loss of 8.
05 billion euros for 2020, compared with a profit of 19 million euros in 2019, with an operating margin of -0.8% over the period, compared with +4.8% the previous year.
The French carmaker's sales dropped 21.7% to 43.5 billion euros (-18.2% at comparable exchange rates), with sales volumes down 21.3% to 2.95 million vehicles.
At its AGM on 23 April the Board of Directors will propose not to pay a dividend for 2020. The group has confirmed its 2023 targets under the "Renaulution" plan, including a group operating margin of over 3% by 2023.
