BNP Paribas: 2017 earnings virtually flat
(CercleFinance.com) - BNP Paribas has published 2017 net income group share of 7,759 million euros, up 0.
7% (+4.4% excluding extraordinary items), with gross operating income that is down 5.8% at 13,217 million (+3.8% for the operational divisions).
At 43,161 million euros, net banking income is down 0.6% in published terms, but up 0.5% excluding extraordinary items. At the group's operational divisions, this rose by 1.5%, despite a negative currency impact (+2.6% at constant consolidation scope and exchange rates).
The Board of Directors will propose a dividend of 3.02 euros per share at the AGM for the past year (+11.9%) payable in cash, meaning a pay-out rate of 50% in accordance with the group's plan.
