Société Générale: underlying group net income up 11%.

(CercleFinance.com) - Société Générale has published Q2 2017 group net income of 1,058 million euros, with underlying group net income up 11% at 1,165 million euros.

Underlying EBITDA amounted to 2,075 million euros, against 2,220 million euros a year ago, although changes in risk provisions had a positive impact of 259 million euros, mainly due to a net write-back of provisions for litigation.

Group net banking income, including non-financial items, fell by 25.6% to 5,199 million euros, due to changes in the group's comparison basis, although net banking income for the businesses was stable (-0.5% vs. Q2 2016) at 6,392 million euros.
