Eiffage: wins manufacturing contract in Poland

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage yesterday announced that through Smulders (a Belgian subsidiary of Eiffage Métal) it has won the contract awarded by Baltic Power (a joint venture of ORLEN and Northland Power) to design, manufacture and supply the 76 transitional parts for the future offshore wind farm off Poland.


Production of the secondary steels will start in January 2024 at Eiffage Métal's production plants in Poland.

These steels will be transported to the UK for assembly of the transition parts at Eiffage Métal's Newcastle site.

The first offshore wind farm in Poland, Baltic Power will have an average annual production capacity of up to 1.2 GW, providing sustainable energy to over 1.5 million homes. Commissioning is scheduled for 2026.
