Eiffage: a small step for OneWeb - a big step for Clemessy
(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage today announced that Clemessy, the brand name of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, has participated in the commercial rocket launch of Starsem, the Franco-Russian subsidiary of Arianespace, as part of its technical assistance contract for the OneWeb project.
This launch on 18 December 2020 enabled 36 satellites to be sent into low orbit. Clemessy sent a staff member to the Vostochny (Siberia) base to provide electromechanical and electrotechnical assistance for the installations.
Other Soyuz launches are planned from Vostochny between March and June 2021, then in the first half of 2022.
In all, Starsem & Arianespace still have some fifteen launches to undertake for the OneWeb constellation from Vostochny, Baikonur (Kazakhstan) and Kourou (French Guiana). As with previous launches, Clemessy will take part in the operational support for future campaigns, Eiffage says.
