Eiffage: wins E32m contract for RER E rail line
(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage has signed a contract with the SNCF network for the Porte Maillot and La Défense stations, the tunnel and the nine ventilation shafts for a total of 32 million euros.
The contract includes the installation of high- and low-voltage equipment powered by eight 20 KV delivery stations and six transformation stations. The contract also includes the setting up of the architectural and functional lighting of the two new stations, as well as the tunnel's safety lighting and 9 ventilation shafts.
The project to extend the RER E line to the West (Eole), central to Grand Paris Express aims to build 55 kilometres of lines, of which 8 kilometres are in tunnels, while developing 47 kilometres of existing track and create three new stations: Porte Maillot, La Defense-CNIT and Nanterre-La-Folie. Around 620,000 passengers will use this new RER line daily.
